Summary/Objective

Cornerstone seeks a full-time professional to support our client accounts. All individuals in our Colorado office manage a variety of tasks and support each other with client service activities. In addition, administrative tasks are necessary to support new and existing government relations clients. This position is based in Denver, Colorado.

This position is responsible for several client service and administrative tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with administrative and support duties, including scheduling.
  • Assisting with legislative fundraising, scheduling meetings, organizing annual events, and legislative receptions.
  • Attending subcommittee and committee meetings as needed.
  • Tracking bill positions and lobbying activities of the team and ensuring reporting requirements are met by team members
  • Preparing weekly bill trackers for clients.
  • Organizing and managing the office, and legislative and political activities calendar.
  • Conducting legislative research and policy analysis, and drafting related memos and summaries.
  • Drafting newsletters, memorandums, and other client-related documents.

The ideal candidate for the position has:

  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills;
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; and
  • A basic understanding of government relations and a bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in a related field;
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat; and
  • Proficiency with web browsers (Explorer, Chrome) and virtual platforms.

Benefits & Salary

Base salary for this position shall be based on experience, starting at no lower than $60,000. Employees are eligible for annual performance-based bonuses as well as full coverage of medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance premiums. In addition, employees are eligible to receive a 401(k)-employer match and shares in the firm’s employee stock ownership plan, upon entry into the plan. Employees are eligible for paid time off and additional fringe benefits to perform their job duties (parking, cell phone coverage, etc.).
