Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Enterprise Risk Management Specialist to provide support and guidance for sustaining and improving our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Internal Control Program (ICP) at Scott AFB, IL. The selected candidate will assist in identifying and understanding risks associated with achieving strategic priorities, develop annual statements of assurance and risk assessments, and provide expert guidance on OMB A-123 and GAO Green Book principles.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance on OMB A-123 and GAO Green Book principles to sustain and improve customers internal controls program.
• Assist in developing the annual Audit Plan and strategic documents to achieve an unmodified opinion on Audited Financial Statements.
• Aid in developing an ERM framework and organizational risk profile identifying financial, IT, and operational risks.
• Review and provide recommendations for process improvement in preventing fraud, waste, and abuse of Government resources.
• Perform gap analysis of documented controls to financial reporting and IT risk.
• Develop and execute test plans ensuring OMB Circular A-123 testing aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
• Support staff assistance visits (SAVs) by providing evaluations of management policies, systems, procedures, and controls.
• Assist in developing an implementation plan for establishing an effective Internal Controls Over Operations (ICO) program.

Experience:

• 3-4 years of experience in enterprise risk management, internal controls, or related field.
• Strong understanding of OMB A-123 and GAO Green Book principles.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies, internal controls testing, and audit processes.
• Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Licenses/Certifications:

• CISA, CDFM, CGFM, CIA, and/or CPA (Preferred)
