Family Medicine Associates of Conroe offers comprehensive care from birth through geriatrics. We strive to make the difference in quality family medicine by creating a warm, welcoming, and patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care: Greet and escort patients to the examining room. Prepare and assist patients for exams; obtain urine specimens, check vital signs, document symptoms, complaints and medications, prepare for lab tests and procedures, etc. Educate patients on health care concerns and problems, office and hospital procedures, medications, testing, surgery, etc.
• Telephone Triage Duties: Evaluate calls for emergencies and triage appropriately. Document all phone calls in EMR. 
  Write prescriptions for doctors to sign. Review and triage all lab work with MD: notify patients of results by phone or mail with appropriate documentation; treat as ordered by MD and instruct patients as needed; file lab slips.
• Miscellaneous Duties: Prepare charts for the following day. Assist MD with phone calls to patients and/or to other physicians. Clean and restock rooms with supplies and sterile instruments. 

​ Qualifications:

• 6 months experience as Certified Medical Assistant
• 6 months experience using Athena EMR
• Medical Assistant Certification
• Reliable commute to the Conroe Area. 
• Reliable transportation. 
• Good support system 

Schedule: 

• 8 hour shifts •
• Day shift • Monday to Friday.
• Saturday shift every month and a half.
