Working with the Education, Advocacy and Operations team, this internship role will create social media content for US Corporate channels to highlight strategic priorities for the former team.

You will be responsible for:

• Working directly with providers on content for Advocacy programming, the Education, Advocacy, and Education team and intern will manage compliance needs and are responsible for Promotional Review Committee (PRC) review and approval of all content.
• Crafting compelling and relevant content tailored to diverse social media platforms.
• Developing and managing a comprehensive content calendar to ensure cohesive messaging and work with North America Communications for approved scheduling on social.
• Contributing to the formulation of processes and best practices for social media stakeholders within the Education, Advocacy, and Operations division.
• Taking charge of a social media-focused project from conceptualization to completion, with regular progress updates for the team to include regular updates to the North America Communications team to ensure advance scheduling for corporate channels.
• Develop customized templates for all U.S. speakers and work with operations team on additional content.
• Additional responsibilities to include supporting North America Communications when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled student currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.

• Prefer the following majors: Communications, PR, Social Media, Journalism, or Marketing.

• Ability to commit to up 20 hours per week for 6 months minimum.
• Commitment to work at the office once per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) for more than one semester (Summer/Fall).
• Industry knowledge or experience in a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of how brands utilize social media to drive traffic and awareness.
• Working knowledge of the latest social media platforms, consumer behaviors, and best practices.
• Proficiency in copywriting, editing, and research skills.
• Experience using the Microsoft suite of products.
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, ethics and problem solving.
• Ability to work on a team and independently.

Education

• Requirements:
  • Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program.
  • Prefer the following majors: Communications, PR, Social Media, Journalism, or Marketing.
