JOB TITLE: Maintenance Associate

Reports To: Maintenance / Operations Manager

NORMAL WORKING HOURS: 7 AM to 3:30 PM

Must haves:

Pass a BCI/FBI background check

Pass a full spectrum drug test.

Valid state driver's license.

Two (2) forms of ID and be authorized to work in the U.S.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ability to contact vendors, build working relationships with authorized dealers of fixed machinery and equipment, schedule work, schedule servicing appointments, order necessary supplies, and complete jobs in a timely and efficient manner.

2. Creative in custom innovations for increasing Individuals’ (people with disabilities and other barriers) ability to complete new jobs and breakdown barriers. Design, build, and modify fixtures for Individuals’ needs.

3. Sewing machine technician includes, but not limited to: clean and maintain sewing machines, keep inventory of sewing machine parts, troubleshooting and correcting issues with machines.

4. Ability to upkeep facilities (three (3) locations) by tracking locks/keys, paint as needed, and fix facilities issues such as plumbing, electric, water issues, etc. while keeping safety and codes in mind.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Experience preferred: all phases of maintenance, operations of tools & equipment, knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing.
• Training on TAC Industries specific equipment provided.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Able to pick up at least 50 pounds (lbs) unassisted and use a ladder at all heights.
• The ability to handle day-to-day maintenance operations unsupervised.
• Will be able to multi-task while performing different duties/projects.
• Able to use power tools and other tools safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
