Overview:

Immediate position. Trainee or technician, We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. Duties:

- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist

- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications

- Perform medication reconciliation and review patient profiles for potential drug interactions

- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with insurance billing

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their questions and concerns

- Utilize medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals

- Follow proper aseptic technique when compounding sterile products, including IV infusions

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy practice

Skills:

- Previous experience in a hospital or critical care pharmacy setting preferred

- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of prescription abbreviations

- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Knowledge of medication administration routes, including inhalation techniques

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure

- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Strong commitment to patient service and providing compassionate care
