Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY

The MSW Licensure Supervisor is responsible for supervision for licensure for Sound staff as assigned by Directors. This role involves providing support, mentorship, and clinical Social Work supervision, in close collaboration with the Sound Supervisor/Manager/Director to ensure that licensure requirements are met, and professional development goals are achieved. The supervisor also plays a key role in facilitating communication between licensure candidates and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Provide individual and group supervision to social workers pursuing licensure in accordance with Sound policies, procedures, workflows, job aids, etc.
  • Offer guidance and support to help licensure candidates navigate the licensure process effectively.
  • Coordinate with the Sound Supervisor/Manager/Director to whom the supervisee directly reports.
  • Mentor licensure candidates in developing their professional skills and competencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of supervision sessions, licensure progress, and professional development activities.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required by regulatory bodies or organizational policies.

KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS

Establishes and maintains positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with clinical team members and management. Relates to a wide variety of people including members of ethnic and sexual minority populations, and is respectful of individual and cultural differences.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in social work practice.
  • Previous experience providing supervision or mentorship to social work professionals preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of licensure requirements and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and communities.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting professional excellence in social work practice.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

  • Current licensure as a clinical social worker (LCSW) or equivalent licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Meets the qualifications of an approved supervisor and have complete a supervision course per WAC 246-809-334
  • Washington State driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to sit at a desk, and use office equipment, including phones and computer cameras and microphone.
