Gabe*s is hiring and Inventory Control Manager in our Morgantown, WV office.

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for controlling, managing, and monitoring product inventory across supply chain networks within the Old Time Pottery organization. This position is a subject matter expert in maintaining and interfacing with the organization’s inventory control operating systems. This position will also work cross-functionally with various departments to maintain accurate inventory and financial reporting as a process manager.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage system Interfaces posted to the General Ledger for Landed Costs, Inventory Waves (Based on all Inventory movements-receipts, transfers, adjustments).
• Perform physical Inventory Counts and Cycle Counts.
• Oversee and track product transfers including mass transfers, re-allocation of transfers involving truckloads of product, and Inter-store transfers.
• Perform reconciliation and process inventory corrections throughout the organization.
• Process large MOS for intercompany transactions via Web Application.
• Process Load-Ins for freight /duty to the perpetual and pull into the general ledger.
• Make changes to stores in Table Maintenance regarding closed stores, new stores, etc. - if needed.
• Correct and process invalid inventory transactions and resolve interface errors (missing SKUs, DTS purchase orders, ect.).
• Update key system set-up functions to adapt to accounting changes.
• Perform period end closing entries for inventory related transactions, and expense reporting of general liability, workers’ comp, and prepaid insurance.
• Process key AP functions for Trade(matching) Vendors (force matches, prepaid purchase orders, receiver adjustments); Force Matches of receivers for OTP purchases from Gabe’s.
• Enter new accounts into the system, produce chart of accounts for new store locations.
• Maintain numerous audit schedules related to key job functions.
• Oversee all functions related to the annual physical inventory count.

Education and experience:

• A high school degree or GED equivalency is required. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, supply chain management, or another closely related field is preferred.
• Four (4) years of inventory control, supply chain, or accounting experience is required.
• Experience and training in JDA (Blue Yonder) supply chain software is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Ability to provide relevant and timely information to staff, clients, managers, etc.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, basic email).
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
• Advanced skills in JDA (Blue Yonder) supply chain software and ability to operate as a system expert.
• Working knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously with demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to understand a variety of charts and spreadsheets to verify and cross reference information.
• Demonstrated aptitude for researching and problem solving.
• Ability to maintain a high volume of data and expense records with accuracy.
• Ability to meet evolving deadlines for organizational reporting.
