Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details:
- Position Type: Contract
- Specialty: Corrections Nurse
- Department: Opioid Treatment Program
- Compliance Level: Escalated compliance
- Must have corrections experience
- Experience working in substance abuse treatment preferred
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials
- Current, valid nursing license in Maryland
- Provide nursing care and assessments to inmates within a booking and intake center as well as a correctional institution
- Administer medication and treatments, particularly related to the opioid treatment program
- Conduct health screenings and evaluations during the intake process
- Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with facility and legal requirements
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a high-stress, secure environment
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- LPN: $40 per hour
- RN: $50 per hour
- CNA: $25 per hour
