DISTRICT HooksettPOSITION Speech & Language PathologistSUPERVISOR Director of Special ServicesPOSTION GOALThe Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for managing, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive school speech, language and hearing program which should provide a continuum of services to meet the needs of the students. QAULIFICATIONSEducation Bachelors or Masters Degree in Speech/Language PathologyCertification Appropriate NH State License. Certification by the America Speech/Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)Experience One to three years of work related experience preferredCriminal Record Check Required per NH RSA 189:13-aPre Employment Physical Required per NH RSA 200:23 and 275:3 EVATUATIONPerformance of position responsibilities will be evaluated annually in accordance with the approved administrative procedure for staff evaluationsGENERAL CONSIDERATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSDemonstrate aptitude and successful fulfillment of assigned performanceSpecialized training with individuals with special needsSuch alternate to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptableStanding Occasional Lifting OccasionalWalking Occasional Reaching OccasionalSitting Occasional Push/Pull OccasionalDriving Rarely Bend/Stoop Occasional GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide speech-language services to students in accordance with ASHA principals and District policyAdminister, interpret and relate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions effectively in accordance with ASHA Scope of Practice, within the guidelines of District policy and procedureDemonstrate knowledge of current literature and incorporate applicable clinical ideasDevelop and maintain a high degree of rapport with students, parents and colleaguesEnsure treatment programs are clinically appropriate and based on the special education needs of the childComplete all required documentation on at timely bases as indicated by IEP’sPlan effectively and execute daily, weekly and monthly scheduleCommunicate with Director of Student Services regularly regarding clinical needs, goals and potential conflict situationsDemonstrate flexibility in meeting the needs of the students, department and the District.This job description is not intended to be all inclusive, and employees will also perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor(s). START DATE: 2024-2025 School YearSCHEDULE: 186 days per year (follows the school year schedule, with the summer off)PAY: $42,900 - $84,680 / yearUNION: Part of the Hooksett Education AssociationBENEFITS: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Sick, and Personal DaysTO APPLY: Apply here, with your application, resume, cover letter, reference letters, and transcripts.
