The job hours are 8 AM to 5 PM. Camp begins on June 17 and ends on August 16. There are 43 days of camp as we are closed on July 3rd and 4th.The pay is $250 per day. There is a 10% bonus if all 43 days of camp is worked. There is a meeting with Dr. Harding on May 31st at 3:00PM for the doctor to go over a few things and have him sign off on everyone working in the health office.The duties are as follows:Check to make sure that the required medications arrive to camp (ie. Epipens). Call parents or email parents if needed. I have read all the paperwork and medical forms prior to camp. A medical alerts list will be generated for those who have special issues or medical conditions. This is waiting on the nurse's desk when the nurse arrives.Manage daily medications (there are usually not many).On Mondays, create a list of prescription medications for the week to be faxed over to our camp physician.Treat any first aid issues or camper complaints that arise. Inform parents as needed.Make the decision if an ambulance must be called. (This has rarely happened).Assist camp staff as needed on food allergy advice for the Trading Post or Overday food.Ensure that all treatments, medications, and injury reports have been recorded. Restock first aid kits for group staff.Send home medications with campers on their last day of camp (Fridays).
