Porter Job Description

Summary/objective

As a property porter, you will be responsible for keeping properties neat and organized. Your main duties include sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, dusting countertops, ceilings and furniture, and sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, or other public areas. You will also be responsible for performing routine inspections to check that spaces like restrooms are always sanitary.

• Cleaning spills, broken glass, and other messes as quickly as possible
• Identifying maintenance and repair items and finding the best solution for those repairs.
• Performing maintenance activities related to cleaning and basic handyman skills
• Organizing maintenance supplies and storage
• Cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities and common spaces.
• Washes windows.
• Modifies scope of cleaning and maintenance based on particular property characteristics (apartments, parking facilities, etc.)
• Maintain quality standards and expectations

Physical demands

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Bending, pulling, pushing, and lifting at least 25 pounds.

Travel required

• Travel may be required at times.

Work authorization/security clearance requirements
