Radiation Therapist
Eligible for Participation in 403B Plan
Days - 7:30 am to 4:00 pm No Weekends

 GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision the Radiation Therapist:

·Administers radiation treatments to patients, as prescribed by the physician, utilizing specialized equipment including linear accelerator,

·High Dose Rate (HDR) After loader, and Computed Tomography.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·Bachelor's Degree preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

·A.R.R.T. Radiation Therapy Technology Certification or registry eligible.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

·Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.

·Lifting of patients, moving & pushing wheelchairs/stretchers and lifting of equipment, above head, up to 50 lbs.

·Potential exposure to radiation; however, adherence to safety procedures minimizes likelihood of danger.

·Frequent interaction with emotionally depressed and terminally/critically ill patients.
