Cardiovascular Special Procedures Tech- Full Time/ Days
_Texas Health Arlington's Interventional Radiology department is looking for a top skilled Cardiovascular Special Procedures Tech. Is that you?_
Sign-On for Eligible New Hires for full time or part time
Work location: Texas Health Arlington: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, TX 76012
Work hours: Full Time 32 hours M-Th 8:30-17:00 plus call
and
Work hours: PRN

IR team is a combination of RN's and Special procedure techs. Part of the job requires supporting the team and assisting in transporting patients to other areas when not scrubbed in. The IR works with the OR on the hybrid vascular cases on a weekly basis.
Here's What You Need
Education
Associate's Degree Applied Science required Or
Other completion of accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology required Or
High School Diploma or Equivalent (2 years work experience in invasive cardiology) required
Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
Experience
1 year preferred
2 years with high school diploma required
IR or Cath Lab experience is preferred
Licenses and Certifications
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required Or
RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon hire required Or
RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire required And
CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT upon hire required And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
What You Will Do
Patient Care
Uses multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions
Assesses and recognizes the patients emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions
Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing
Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Adjusts technical factors
Operates, cares for and maintains equipment
Professional Accountability and Partnership
Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement
Attends departmental continuing education, meetings, and checks email
