Job Description
- Contract Review and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough administrative reviews of government contracts to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Analyze contracts to identify any discrepancies or areas of potential non-compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for contract analysis.
- Compliance Assurance:
- Ensure that all contracts adhere to company policies, FAR, DFAR, and other applicable state and federal regulations.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance matters and assist in the development of strategies to address potential issues.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all contracts and related documentation.
- Prepare and update contract summaries for easy reference and tracking.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Interface with government agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve compliance issues.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and other relevant departments to address contract-related matters.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about changes in regulations, policies, and industry best practices related to government contracting.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in contract management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Contract Specialist, preferably in a government contracting environment.
- In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and other relevant state and federal regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in contract management software/tools.
