Responsibilities:
  • Contract Review and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough administrative reviews of government contracts to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
    • Analyze contracts to identify any discrepancies or areas of potential non-compliance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for contract analysis.
  • Compliance Assurance:
    • Ensure that all contracts adhere to company policies, FAR, DFAR, and other applicable state and federal regulations.
    • Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance matters and assist in the development of strategies to address potential issues.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all contracts and related documentation.
    • Prepare and update contract summaries for easy reference and tracking.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Interface with government agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve compliance issues.
    • Collaborate with legal, finance, and other relevant departments to address contract-related matters.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay informed about changes in regulations, policies, and industry best practices related to government contracting.
    • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in contract management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Contract Specialist, preferably in a government contracting environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and other relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in contract management software/tools.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing the Contract Specialist flexibility in working both remotely and on-site as needed.
Contract Type:
This is a 1099 contract position, and the Contract Specialist will be responsible for managing their tax obligations.
