Justice Resource Institute - Health is Hiring a Grant Writer Near Jamaica, MA

Who We Are Looking For:

Are you the Grant Writer we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our team!

JRI Health is a division of Justice Resource Institute (JRI) that seeks to work with individuals and communities to achieve the health and justice we all deserve. JRI Health provides a range of community services to improve the health, self-sufficiency, and well-being of communities that often lack access to needed resources and opportunities. These services support people living with or at risk for HIV, those facing homelessness or unstable housing, people with hepatitis C, those unable to access employment, returning citizens, BIPOC LGBTQIA youth, and those with other health conditions.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying public and private grant opportunities that maintain and build the program of JRI Health. Other responsibilities include prospect research, developing grant pipelines for specific programs, facilitating collaborative grant preparation with staff, grant writing, and ensuring timely submissions.

Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week.This position has the capacity to work remotely approximately 90% of the time.

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Candidates must have a High School Diploma. Candidates with a college degree are preferred.
  • Candidates must have experience in grant writing and fundraising.
  • Proficiency in technology is required.
  • Applicant should be an extraordinary, detail-oriented individual committed to advancing social justice.
  • Applicant should be an effective communicator both orally and in writing, able to write and edit grant requests;
  • Applicant should be team-oriented player, with the ability to organize and facilitate staff teams.
  • Applicant must have an active driver’s license and ability to be at work on time with some potential travel to corporate sites on an annual or quarterly basis required.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
