Clubxyouthniversity is Communiry Based Tutoring and Wellness program operating out of a school in Far Rockaway, NY. We are mission based and looking for individuals with the right culture fit. Hard working, self driven, passionate team players who communicate well, have a strong educational background and know how to teach common math skills to elementary or middle school aged children following New York State Next Generational Standards and Guideline. A requirement of this role is, command of technology and understanding how to utilize it in the classroom, knowing how to create a deliver lesson plans and classroom behaviormail management. Timely communication, collaboration and punctuality are essential.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tutor with a teaching background to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students of various ages and backgrounds. This is a part-time position with set hours. The hours for our Bronx location is 2 days a week in the afternoon from about 3pm-5:30/6pm

Responsibilities:

-coordinate programming activities and turn them into lessons

- Develop personalized lesson plans and tutoring strategies based on the individual needs of each student

- Provide instruction in subjects such as physiology, machine learning, microbiology, discrete math, statistics, special education, and electrical engineering

- Assist students in understanding complex concepts and improving their problem-solving skills

- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students

- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents or guardians

- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to ensure alignment with curriculum goals

- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities

- Utilize various teaching resources, including textbooks, online materials, and educational software

Experience:

- Strong knowledge and expertise in the subjects mentioned above

- Experience working with students of all ages, from children to adults

- Familiarity with adult education principles and techniques

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students

- Previous experience in special education is a plus
