Job Title: Kit Assembler

Department: Kit Assembly

Reports To: Kit Assembly Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepares test kit boxes by gluing foam inserts into them.

· Assembles test kits and refill kits as specified by written instructions and diagrams.

· Assembles components and accessories used in test kits. 

· Packs test strips.

· Works at various stations in test kit blister packing operation.

· Assists in other Production Department activities as needed, including participating in lean 

manufacturing team activities, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and making sub-assemblies.

· Rotates to and works in other Production Departments as needed.

· Participates in all of the department’s lean activities, including but not limited to: lean events, kaizen, 5-S program, DMAICs, etc.

Miscellaneous:

· Complies with all Company policies (i.e. personnel, safety, etc.).

· Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

Must be able to read, understand, and follow detailed instructions accurately; transport up to 30 pounds; use a glue gun; and work in close proximity to team members when working in a cell.

Environmental Factors/Physical/Mental Capabilities: 

Works indoors in temperature-controlled environment. Requires walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, occasional use of a step stool, transporting up to 30 pounds and good dexterity.
