Description
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Volunteer and Resource Development Coordinator (VRDC) will partner across all levels of the organization in securing resources to support operations and program needs as well as recruiting, training, and engaging volunteers. This position is dedicated to cultivating resources and strengthening connections with donor organizations, corporations, faith-based communities, and other local groups to support CIS' mission of empowering students to stay in school and succeed in life. Additionally, this role involves managing in-kind donation and service efforts as well as supporting resource development initiatives to benefit the entire organization in partnership with Advancement.
The ideal candidate will have excellent networking, communication, people and collaboration skills, business acumen, exemplary work ethic, drive, strong organizational skills, self-motivation, facilitation and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will also possess the ability to cross cultural boundaries to build and maintain strong working relationships.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position is located within the Charlotte Mecklenburg area. Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality are required. Regular and satisfactory performance including meeting all process deadlines and stated deliverables is required.
