Job Summary
We are seeking a medical office manager to join our growing Family Medicine practice . In this role, you will coordinate all administrative duties and office procedures, ensuring an efficient front office workflow that maximizes scheduling opportunities, while supporting a high quality of patient care and support. Your responsibilities will include training and hiring front office staff, maintaining office inventory, ensuring timely completion of tasks in the Athena EMR, while maintaining consistent communication with practice ownership. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to implement systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

Hire, train and schedule staff, maximizing efficiency through workflow processes
Design the office layout with efficiency and organization in mind
Maintain inventory of supplies
Onboard new employees, coordinating with human resources department
Maintain office equipment in good working order with the assistance of the IT department
Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks in Athena EMR
Review and resolve billing holds, training staff to avoid front desk related holds
Communicate with leaseholder re: maintenance issues
Maintain timely communication with physician/owner, COO and nurse practitioner
 
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Medical Office Manager 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Understanding of office equipment, systems, and procedures
Skilled in Microsoft Office, with experience in electronic medical records, Athena preferred
