Job Title: Ambulance Billing Specialist for Frontline EMS
Position Summary:
As an Ambulance Billing Specialist for Frontline EMS, you will be responsible for the timely processing, filing, and coding of claims and invoices. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in billing in the EMS industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Timely filing and processing of claims and invoices for services.
2. Oversee QA/QI of patient care reports to ensure compliant and accurate claim processing.
3. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
4. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve operational excellence.
5. Ensure compliance with OCEMS, OCHCA, and CMS guidelines.
6. Maintain effective communication channels between cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and resolve operational issues efficiently.
7. Communicate effectively and regularly with Operations Manager to ensure proper revenue cycling.
8. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, employee engagement, professional growth, and high levels of morale.
9. Posting payments within an a timely manner
Qualifications:
1. CPC or other Medical Billing Certificate (Preferred).
2. Minimum of 2 years of EMS billing experience is preferred but not required.
3. Deep understanding of emergency medical services operations and regulatory requirements.
5. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
7. Proficient in using technology tools and software applications relevant to operations management.
