A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT SERVER

In this entry-level food service position, you are the cornerstone of the positive experience of our guests. When people are seated in your section, you greet them with a smile. Using your knowledge of the beer and cider we have on tap at our self-serve bar, you are able to answer questions and give recommendations. You also advise our customers on the dishes we serve.

Service-oriented, you make sure guests receive the correct order and that they're happy with the quality of their food. Throughout the meal, you check in to see if they need anything, and you keep their water glasses filled. When parties are finished with their meal, you handle their payments. Then, you bus and clean the table. Additionally, when we host special events, you help run them. You love working with our customers and take pride in the part you play in our success!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESTAURANT SERVER

  • Customer service skills
  • Positive attitude
  • ServeSafe Certification or willing to obtain one

Familiarity with Toast POS (point-of-sale) system would be a plus! Are you friendly, enthusiastic, and optimistic? Do you have a real desire to do quality work and ensure customer satisfaction? Are you extremely organized and detail-oriented? Do you treat others with respect and consideration? Can you keep up with the fast pace of serving in a bustling restaurant? If yes, you might just be perfect for this full- or part-time serving position!

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A RESTAURANT SERVER

This entry-level food service position can be full-time or part-time and typically works between the business hours of 10 AM - 11 PM, Sunday - Thursday, and between 10 AM - 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
