Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide quality dental care to our patients. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions, trimming models, and fabricating temporary crowns - Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, anticipating the needs of the dentist and ensuring patient comfort - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment book Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred - X-ray certification required; CPR certification preferred - Proficient in medical terminology and dental procedures - Experience with Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software is a plus - Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is highly desirable - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
