Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions, trimming models, and fabricating temporary crowns - Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, anticipating the needs of the dentist and ensuring patient comfort - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment book Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred - X-ray certification required; CPR certification preferred - Proficient in medical terminology and dental procedures - Experience with Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software is a plus - Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is highly desirable - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
