Separk Mansion in Gastonia, NC is looking for one gardener/groundskeeper - part-time to join our 74 person strong team. We are located on 209 West 2nd Avenue.

Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, reliable and hard-working with an eye for detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to landscaping/gardening, such as planting, weeding, maintenance of plants and shrubs, fertilizing, mowing, trimming, and pruning. The ideal candidate will have experience with the use of various landscaping/gardening tools and equipment, and must be able to work in all weather conditions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about outdoor work and has a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities :

• . Perform gardening duties including but not limited to: installing and maintaining plants in greenhouses, gardens, interiors, and landscape settings with minimal
• Perform basic grounds maintenance duties including but not limited to: general cleanup, trash removal, weeding, mowing, hauling and handling brush.
• Assists guests in a positive, courteous manner.
• Operate mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance of landscaping areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area.
• Follow safety guidelines when operating machinery and using tools.
• Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, , and other plants.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, raking, and shoveling.

Qualifications

• 2 Experience with Gardening/Landscaping
• Solid Knowledge of how to prune, trim, deadhead and maintain various plant varieties
• Attention to detail
• Horticulture degree, master gardener or similar a plus

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Compensation is $15.00 - $20.00/hour.
