A busy Plastic and Reconstructive surgery practice with an affiliated ambulatory surgery center is seeking a experienced skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and treatments
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with medical tests
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting specimens and conducting urine tests
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Provide patient education on medication instructions, diet, exercise, and other healthcare topics
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
