  • We offer a combined paid time off (PTO) policy which incorporates state paid sick leave with company paid time off at an accrual rate of 0.0607 per hour worked, equivalent to 120 hours of PTO at 2,080 hours worked in a year. We also offer 6 Paid Holidays (8 hours for full time and 6 hours for part time per event, excludes on-call staff) and 1 Personal Holiday of Choice per year (excludes on-call staff).
  • Retirement planning is encouraged through our 403(b) plan that includes a generous 100% company match on the first 4% of earnings an employee contributes. There is a 5-year vesting schedule on the company match, and minors are ineligible for the company match.
  • A food and beverage discount of 50% is available to all employees at any Wesley bistro. Employees are also eligible for On-Demand Pay with Dayforce Wallet. Minors need parental consent to access this benefit.

Enrich thelives of older adults through community, choice, and continuing care in the ResidentEngagement Manager role. The Resident Engagement Manager will be responsible foradministering ongoing recreation, cultural arts, hobbies, events, and otherhealth and social programs for residents on campus.  You willprovide continuing care through these responsibilities

Essentialfunctions of this position include the following:

  • Manage and lead a team to deliver recreational programs forresidents across multiple settings ranging from independent living to skillednursing.
  • Design programs that encourage socialization and provide enrichingentertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment.
  • Create an engaging workplace for employees by modeling a cultureof belonging and leveraging our recognition and reward program.
  • Manage the Volunteer program in accordance with company policy.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement through Leanmethodologies.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with residents,families, and coworkers.
  • Respond to and participate in emergency situations; stay apprisedof safety procedures and emergency preparedness plans.
  • Assist with annual department budgeting process.
  • Learn and apply Company, Federal, State, and local rules,regulations, and policies.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Our requirements and qualifications for success

  • Must be passionate about serving activeand aging seniors.
  • Professional certification (i.e.Activity Professional, Advanced Activity Professional, Activity DirectorCertified, Activity Consultant Certified, etc.).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in avolunteer, activities, training and development, and/or recreation-related role.
  • Washington State Food Worker Card within14 days of hire.
  • CPR and First Aid certification within30 days of hire.
  • Ability to understand and communicate inthe English language.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationshipswith residents, families and employees.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and writtencommunications skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint) and other software and cloud-based technology including mobileapps.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours or schedulein support of planned activities.

Physical,environmental, and mental requirements

  • Bending, stooping, walking, sitting, and standing, intermittently during working hours.
  • Frequent use of computer keyboard.
  • Near and far vision acuity.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Often requires high energy output over an extended period of time.
  • Ability to handle unplanned and potentially stressful situations.

SalaryRange: $27.96 to $40.29 per hour
