Description

Duties/Responsibilities: 

· Opens and closes the branch; maintains and stays abreast of security policies and procedures.

· Supervises vault operations and procedures.

· Maintains knowledge of branch policies and procedures with respect to approving checks and overrides.

· Processes savings and teller work, when necessary.

· Processes consumer and mortgage loan applications and solicits business for new loans and mortgages.

· Handles customer problems and complaints; counsels customers with special needs or requests.

· Participates in activities for generating new business such as sales calls and special events.

· Opens the overnight routing bag and examines the contents.

· Supervises preparation and distribution of monthly branch reports.

· Ensures financial institution compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations.

· Collaborates with other branch and district managers to set reasonable sales and/or retail goals.

· Collaborates with district manager to set performance standards. Standards may be based on financial and operational goals and required compliance with internal, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.

· Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with branch staff; provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives.

· Identifies training needs and opportunities; develops and implements a plan for meeting those needs.

· Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.

· Participates in community activities to promote the organization and to build goodwill.

· Collaborates with other managers and district managers regarding advertising, marketing, and growth campaigns.

· Assists with start-up, development, and growth of new branches as needed.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Growth of branch deposits and loans.

· Improve branch profitability. 

Requirements

Other/Required Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

· One to two years of experience in a financial institution. Prior lending experience or loan related experience is preferred. 

· Good written, verbal and supervisory skills.
