Job Title: Plant Manager

Location: Curtis Bay, MD

Linde is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the operations in Curtis Bay, MD which consists of an Air Separation plant, rail car off-loading station, and plant pipeline, by ensuring safe and profitable operations with compliance to relevant regulations. The manager is accountable for managing capital and expense projects and ensuring reliable, cost-effective operations. Providing safe and productive management is a priority while responding to urgent plant issues. The facility is also home to a large trucking fleet used to distribute our products to customers throughout the Northeast.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Safely and profitably operating the facility
• Managing and achieving plant fixed and variable cost goals to meet financial targets
• Delivering defined value in annual productivity savings
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA PSM/RMP, DOT, FDA, HPFBI, NYSDEC, EPA etc.
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers and meeting contractual obligations
• Being accountable for a team of approximately 4 facility employees and 20 professional drivers
• Conducting long term planning for retention, recruitment, training, and professional development of employees
• Managing the CBA (Teamsters) for professional drivers and being a key contributor in contract negotiations
• Developing, planning, and executing short and long-term maintenance strategies to ensure reliable, cost-effective operations
• Managing the site’s portfolio of capital and expense projects
• Engaging support teams for projects or technical assistance
• Placing high value on team building and effective communications across the organization
• Reacting urgently to plant issues, gathering the required resources to minimize impact to customers and the business and communicating appropriately.

What makes you a great fit:

• 5 years’ experience in an industrial plant environment, Operations/Distribution/Quality
• 3 years managing and developing employees required
• Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements including FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA.
• Comfortable leading a team, managing multiple tasks, and making informed decisions
• Proven ability to lead and quickly adapt to changing situations
• Strong communications skills, and a strong will to build and maintain productive relationships across departmental lines
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to drive execution of projects as well as strategic and tactical initiatives
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
