Job Description: General Electrician

Position Description

We seek an experienced, reliable, and highly skilled General Electrician to join our growing team of professionals. The General Electrician is responsible for completing our electrical-related punch list items on our homes and cabins before selling or renting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all company electrical installations and repairs. To include but not limited to:

o Pulling permits for new electrical jobs

o Blue print reading

o Installation of electrical pedestals for new Mobile Home or RV sites

o Rough in and trim out of cabins or other buildings

o Connecting new mobile homes to pedestals

o Trouble shooting and repair

• Ability to read plans, specifications, and submittal data to ensure all equipment is correct and installed in accordance with the National Electric Code and manufacturer's recommendations.
• Work productively with superintendents, project managers, co-workers, and other trades in construction.
• Work independently to ensure all project tasks are completed on schedule and within budget, including documenting hours worked and job progress.
• Perform service calls on time and with no supervision.
• Perform all necessary installations and maintenance with no supervision.
• Interact with customers professionally and courteously.
• Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are functioning correctly.

Requirements:

• At least three years’ experience as a residential/commercial electrician.
• Maintain current Alabama electrician's license.

• Working knowledge of residential electrical systems.
• Ability to carry heavy tools.

• Ability to work in the attic and crawl space.
• Being reliable and on time.
• Having essential electrician tools.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Desire or the ability to obtain an electrician's license in Georgia and Mississippi.
• Physical Demands/Working Conditions -The position requires working in a physically demanding job site environment, frequently in an outdoor setting. Bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, and lifting are required, as well as the ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Driving required - must have a valid driver's license for three or more years; reliable transportation with proof of automobile liability insurance is required when driving a personal vehicle.
• Ability to travel and live onsite for extended periods when necessary.
