Kaliber Management Construction Superintendent

Located in Baldwin County, Alabama.

Position Description

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from start to finish in numerous mobile home and RV parks. This individual will review projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. The Construction Superintendent will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution while overseeing construction team members to ensure successful project completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.

Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

Coordinate and direct construction team members and subcontractors.

Coordinate and supervise all construction / maintenance activities.

Review work progress on a daily basis.

Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses necessary for projects.

Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues.

Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements.

Required Experience:

Proven working experience in construction management.

Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.

Excellent leadership skills.

Experience in site work/horizontal construction.

Working knowledge in laying utilities, paving, grading, drainage, reading plans, and collecting bids.

Strong experience with laying underground utilities, grading, drainage layout, and water retention/stormwater pond construction

Responsible for coordinating numerous properties’ construction projects and team members to effectively meet deadlines and budgets set by management.

Work within the overall company system to conduct construction management activities within the company’s and senior management’s guidelines and directives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field of construction management, architecture, or engineering.

Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in construction management; and management of multi-site construction projects.

Communicate effectively with coworkers and project stakeholders.

Self-Driven / Self-Motivated individual that does not have to wait for instruction.

FLEXIBLE

Physical Demands/Working Conditions -The position requires working in a physically demanding job site environment, frequently in an outdoor setting. Bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, and lifting are required as well as the ability to lift 40 lbs.

Driving required - must have a valid driver’s license for three or more years; proof of automobile liability insurance is required when driving a personal vehicle.

Ability to travel and live onsite for extended periods of time when necessary.

CDL is a plus

Equipment operator experience is a plus

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
