As a DevOps Engineer Level 1 at Vertex IT Systems, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for implementing and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. You will support the development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Support the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to deployment and infrastructure.
• Maintain and improve existing CI/CD processes to enhance scalability and reliability.
• Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications for internal use.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical production issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internship or practical experience in a DevOps or related role.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
