The Physician Recruiter, reporting directly to the Director, Business Development, is responsible for developing and implementing strategic physician recruitment and development plans, coordinating out- of- market physician relocation efforts, for both inpatient and outpatient services, and support for product lines and programs that lead to admissions and specialty referrals. Ensures adequate complement of physicians in accordance with needs and goals of the hospital and medical staff. Assists in developing strategies for attracting proper mix of medical practitioners and/or specialists. Works with leadership in development of recruitment programs, budgets and strategies in accordance with physician development plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Physician Recruitment, such as identifying potential out-of-market candidates and facilitating the process of their joining our medical staffs and assisting in the relocation process for these candidates. Provide continuous market information regarding competitor actions and trends in the physician community to support/validate market research, program enhancements, strategic and business planning.
  • Establishes physician recruitment priorities based on an internal development plan and an external community needs assessment. Develops processes for successful physician recruitment and/or employment; implements as necessary to reach recruitment goals. Identifies opportunities and implements strategies to increase activity at the institution.
  • Negotiates physician relocation and other physician related agreements such as leases, service contracts, etc. Utilizes eCATS system to obtain approval for agreements. Leads new physician acclimation efforts to insure proper marketing, medical staff introduction, orientation and integration efforts.
  • Educates and updates leadership, physicians, hiring authorities and hospital staff on recruitment process to assure all recruitment meets legal and compliance standards for the system.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in physician recruiting, network development, or a similar role in hospital marketing or business development

Compensation

  • Pay: $$62,400 - $99,840 Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
