Lindenwold School District/ Instructional Coach

• Location:900 Gibbsboro Road Lindenwold, NJ 08021
• Morning hours, 3 days per week (Tues.- Thurs.)
• Total 18 hours per week;
• Paid training (tentatively June 24).

BASIC FUNCTION

The New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. provides high-dosage tutoring for pre-K through Grade 8 students in math and literacy to close learning gaps. Tutoring will be embedded in established networks of community-based organizations in high-need communities during the summer. The New Jersey Tutoring Corps is seeking to hire Instructional Coaches to oversee tutor performance and provide guidance to tutors during its summer program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop strong relationships with the site staff and school community;
• Ensures that tutors have the necessary materials needed to help scholars succeed;
• Completes and submits digital records of tutor and scholar attendance, scholar rosters, and site concerns;
• Works closely with program staff and participates in weekly meetings with other Site Coordinators and/or Instructional Coaches; Manages the tutor's work schedules;
• Apprises the NJTC Program Manager of staff of issues immediately and helps work to resolve them;
• Ensure that tutors are using all materials needed to help scholars succeed;
• Observe tutoring and provide constructive feedback to tutors;
• Assist tutors with data-driven instruction using iReady;

• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS)
• Experience teaching and past history of instructional coaching
• MUST have a gmail email address or be willing to create a gmail account; and experience with Google Suite applications:Google Doc, Sheets and Forms.
• Undergo background check for I9 status to work in the United States, criminal history check (fingerprints) or provide fingerprint certificate if criminal history check is already in place
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and proven ability of conflict resolution skills;
• Reliable transportation to and from work sites.

Employer Qualifications:

• Knowledge of best practices in teaching
• Some knowledge of the implementation of the Danielson Framework
• Demonstrated ability to excellent communication and written skills, particularly in providing feedback to others in a constructive manner
• Proven ability of conflict resolutions skills;
• Must adhere to local health department and school district requirements for the site at which you are working, including any mask rules that must be followed if applicable

The New Jersey Tutoring Corps, Inc. partners with school districts and community organizations like Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCAs to offer high-dosage tutoring to scholars in grades K-8, both during the summer and the school year. We are a statewide tutoring program with services provided throughout New Jersey.
