ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to instruct art aligned to national standards across a variety of media, including but not limited to traditional media, new media, digital tools, and software, art history, and humanities.
Foster development of personal creative expression, visual literacy and aesthetic awareness.
Ability to create fun and engaging project-based learning that is meaningful and relevant.
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
Enthusiasm and expertise to inspire and challenge students.
High level of personal organization and planning.
Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
Ability to choose and access artistic endeavors that serve to inspire authentically.
Understanding and demonstrable application of proficiency based teaching and learning.
Ability to positively contribute to an environment that responds to students' academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs.
Experience collaborating with colleagues in and across the discipline on curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
