District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year K-12 teaching experience up to 20 years.
Work Schedule:
182 contracted work days* (Days are prorated based on part-time status.)
*This position works 3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Salary:
The minimum starting pay is $31,537*/year and the maximum salary is $54,489*/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant experience (the maximum credit granted is 20 years).
*Salary is prorated based on a 0.63 FTE.

Qualifications and Expectations:
  1. BA/BS from accredited college or university
  2. Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in area of assignment: Elementary Education (K-6) AND Secondary Science , OR
    1. a valid CO licensed endorsed in another area AND passing exam scores on the PRAXIS 5435 OR
    2. a valid CO license endorsed in another area and 36 or more semester hours in Science - HR to review transcripts and make determination OR
    3. a valid CO license endorsed in another area and a BA/BS or higher major in Science - HR to review transcripts and make determination
  3. 1-3 years teaching experience preferred
  4. Preferred experience with homeschooling
