We are looking for Python Lead with Java Backend

Position: Python Tech Lead

Location: Warren NJ (Onsite)

Duration: Long term

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable systems using Java and Python .
2. Hands on experience with design patterns and microservices architecture
3. Previous demonstrable experience in micro services-based application design and solutioning
4. Demonstrable experience with server-side languages, frameworks, libraries, like Spring Boot and Java
5. Strong background in unit testing and/or API testing
6. Experience with Automation technologies such as Cloud Formation, Terraform
7. Solid hands-on experience with AWS technologies such as EC2, ECS, LAMBDA and Fargate
8. Experience with deployments, CI/CD, Cloud Formation, Terraform
9. Experience collaborating in a team environment to develop, deploy, and support key applications and features .
10. Review code written by other developers on the team and provide feedback . You would also be responsible for mentoring and coaching less experienced developers.
11. Manage databases, design and optimize schemas, and ensure the smooth running of the data storage system.
12. System integration: experience in integrating various systems and APIs to create a cohesive backend architecture.
13. Test and debug backend code to ensure it is robust and error-free .
14. Optimize the performance of backend systems to ensure they run efficiently and respond quickly to user requests.
15. Ensure that backend systems are secure and protected against potential vulnerabilities and attacks .
16. Create and maintain documentation related to the backend systems, including technical specifications, user manuals, and API documentation.
17. Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in back-end development and explore new approaches and techniques that could benefit the team's work .

1. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve the team's efficiency and productivity.
2. Experience incrementally rolling out new features, components or refactors without blocking the rest of the team and iterating upon and maintaining live products .
3. Excellent communication skills: you can articulate clearly, thoroughly, and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences .
4. A proven understanding of Agile software development methodologies
5. Appreciation for and alignment to standard methodologies regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, DevSecOps, RESTful service development and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, test coverage etc.

Required

1. Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent field of study and/or 12 years hands on development experience
2. Robust critical thinking skills, coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and engage with peers in technical and design discussions.
3. Proven experience communicating technical needs and capabilities to non- technical team members, product owners and partners.
4. Analysis, design, development, unit testing and execution, to strict coding standards
5. Very strong Java / J2EE and Python experience
6. Solid background in Spring Boot Framework
7. Demonstrable experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and RESTful APIs .
8. Knowledge of Python's threading constraints and multi-process architecture .
9. Solid database skills in a relational database (i.e., Postgres SQL, MySQL, etc .)
10. AWS certification
11. Ability to quickly learn and analyze complex Systems and work independently.
12. Excellent technical and communication skills
13. Ability to create and maintain documentation wherever necessary .
14. Should be innovative and work as collaborator with Scrum team .
15. Take point on supporting deployments and releases .
