The New York State Defenders Association (NYSDA) is looking for temporary timekeeping staff to take part in our Defender Institute Basic Trial Skills Program, June 9-14, 2024. Timekeeping staff are responsible for ensuring that breakout exercise sessions are following the timed schedule and video recording participants during three of the breakout sessions.

Applicants must be:

• 18 or older
• punctual and reliable
• eligible to work in the U.S.
• be able to keep time and use provided videorecording equipment (training will be provided on using the equipment)
• available to be at Skidmore College to attend an hour-long training session on Sunday, June 9 (afternoon), Monday, June 10 (8:30 am - 5:30 pm), Tuesday, June 11 (8:15 am - 3:30 pm) , Wednesday, June 12 (8:30 am to 12:30 pm), Thursday, June 13 (8:30 am - 1:00 pm) and Friday, June 14 (8:30 am - 4:30 pm).

An interest in legal careers or public defense is preferred. Timekeeping staff have the opportunity to attend trainig lectures and demonstrations given by nationally-recognized experts.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
