Job Description The Developer’s role is to support the systems used by our business units. This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify and resolve technical issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. Developers will create integrations with other systems along with development in support of new or changed requirements. Responsibilities The Developer is responsible for the following: Requirements analysis to gain an understanding of business needs to develop level of effort estimates, software design and development, unit testing, performing design and code reviews, and development of technical documentation. Perform system analysis, code modifications, and functional testing to troubleshoot application production issues. Actively participate in the development and review of business and system requirements to obtain a thorough understanding of business needs in order to deliver robust solutions. Provide level of effort and duration estimates for schedule planning. The Developer is expected to proactively manage activities to deliver required work on time. Design application solutions that fully implement the business requirements. Develop high quality software code in accordance with established company standards and development guidelines. Produce technical documentation that accurately and thoroughly depicts the software design and code base. Perform adequate unit testing of their own and other Developers’ application development work. At a minimum, unit testing should ensure all requirements have been addressed, all basic functionality works, and errors are handled properly. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal guidance in a high-pressure environment. Expeditiously troubleshoot application production issues that resolve the underlying problems without causing additional issues. Participate in the review and the analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems. Work with Senior level staff to develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. Provide updates on work in progress, work completed, work planned, and issues potentially affecting the on-time completion or quality level of work. Perform systems analysis and functional testing as needed. Complete project responsibilities including design, coding, unit testing, and documentation on time at required quality level. Performance will be measured by timely completion, quality, and quantity of work delivered. All schedule dates should be met except for approved date changes by appropriate Manager. Perform code reviews, unit testing, and system testing. At a minimum, code reviews, unit testing, and system testing should ensure all requirements have been addressed, all basic functionality works, and errors are handled properly. Support all current applications, as well as participate in new application development initiatives to rewrite older applications in newer technologies. Provide timely support of operational processes as needed. Specific Responsibilities Develop an in-depth knowledge of the company’s support tools and procedures Develop an in-depth knowledge of the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)-related application portfolio – this includes Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud EPM and various SaaS and on-premises tools related to ERP and business intelligence. Develop an in-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM REST and SOAP services. Develop an in-depth knowledge of applications responsible for supporting the ERP and EPM tools. This includes but is not limited to Informatica IICS – Data Integrations, Application Integrations, Mass Ingestion and API Manager. Knowledge and Experience 3 years plus of experience in an Applications Developer role. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience is required. At least 3 years of experience with Informatica IICS building Data Integrations and Application Integrations required. Experience building integrations using SOAP and REST business services is highly desired. Experience building web services in Informatica API Manager desired. Working technical knowledge of SQL and at least one other programming language required. Experience with SQL Server in a database programming and DBA capacity is a huge plus. Experience with Oracle EPM Automate a plus. Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems. Desire and ability to quickly master new technologies as needed.
