Profile Summary This role on the Inforce Management Team will support interest crediting, rate setting, and other product management processes related to life and annuity products on the existing inforce and newly acquired blocks of business. The individual will contribute to process improvements that create efficiencies within the relevant actuarial areas. Profile Description: Develop rate setting methodologies for inforce and newly acquired blocks of business to meet established profitability objectives as well as fulfill contractual and regulatory obligations Integrate new interest crediting and rate setting processes into existing workflow Execute existing rate setting processes, including but not limited to the setting of interest credit, post level term, and premium rates, as well as financial reporting to support product management functions Maintain and update product calculators, illustrators, and other product management tools, as well as ensure ongoing accuracy of product marketing materials Support onboarding of newly acquired blocks of business, including establishment of integrated data model and development of product documentation Support integration of inforce management activities into organization’s transformation objectives Serve as a subject matter expert with respect to product suite and field relevant requests and questions from internal and external business partners Document work clearly and ensure maintenance of strong control environment Communicate results to various interested parties including manager and Senior Management Collaborate with other departments in order to support strategic initiatives and execute value creation opportunities Diagnose problems and/or areas for improvement; design and execute solutions to improve business performance Knowledge & Experience: Bachelors’ degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or related business discipline Preliminary exams to ASA 0-5 years financial, insurance industry, or actuarial experience Excellent computer skills (especially Excel, Access, Visual Basic) Experience with Python and/or other statistical programming languages is a plus Experience with actuarial modeling software (e.g. Prophet) is a plus Basic understanding of insurance products and insurance company operations Solid oral and written communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Location: West Chester, PA preferred, Open to Atlanta, GA, Minneapolis, MN or NYC as well.
