The Configuration Analyst supports and implements configuration management actions, strategies, guidelines and processes on projects where hardware, software or other documentation or data items are developed, produced or sustained. This position reports to the Director of Hardware Engineering and Configuration Management.

Execute configuration management processes across a variety of projects and products.
• Execute CM processes that support the design, development, integration and test, production and sustainment of products and services in accordance with standard corporate processes and specific customer requirements;
• Specialty focus is the handling and update of technical drawing packages staying abreast of design changes and working under critical deadlines for the submission of formal TDP deliverables to the customer;
• Stay abreast of emerging CM practices and tools to challenge and facilitate improvement and streamlining configuration control and management processes utilized by engineering, test, production, logistics and technical publications;
• Deliver strong analytical skills, commitment for accuracy, ability to work with others within a team environment and maintain amicable relations with internal customers.
• Assist in the review and examination of drawings and engineering change orders for continuity and correctness of data line items.
• Fundamental knowledge required to support day-to-day efforts for ensuring timely Hardware and Software Configuration Management for multiple programs.
• Ensures that customer requirements are implemented, and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies and procedures.
• Audits records and develops corrective actions to assure data accuracy.
• Understands established company procedures and best practices and executes to meet program objectives.
• Manages workflow for configuration management of assigned projects and makes suggestions for improvement of processes.
• Applies well-established technical methodologies in configuration management
• Other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the overall function of the CM department.

• Three to five years' experience in areas such as configuration management or configuration analysis, data management, logistics and field support management, product or project management, business management, engineering management, production planning or other key role in a hardware/software development environment.
• Exceptional skills and demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel with the ability to write/modify macros using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), complex formulas, Power Query and pivot tables.
• Ability to read and understand content contained in technical drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Knowledge in configuration control, configuration management, configuration identification and configuration auditing disciplines.
• Exceptional analytical skills, commitment for accuracy, ability to work with others withing a team environment and maintain amicable relations with internal customers
• Ability to work projects to implement configuration management business systems and tools with high level guidance and to specific deadlines;
• A high degree of ability to collaborate with design and production functions;
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to turn abstract concepts into well thought out, substantive strategies and plans;
• Effective communication and collaboration with personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Possess good computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to stand on feet, stoop or climb into equipment for several hours at a time in an environmentally controlled production facility.

• BS degree in business administration, project management, or data management.
• Experience using any of the Materials module functions within Deltek Costpoint.
• Experience with SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat products.
• Direct related experience and a working knowledge of CM within the defense industry. A thorough understanding of quality management systems, as well as a working knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal auditing is a plus.
• Familiarity with document markings, formatting and handling.

• Ability to pass a security background check in order to gain secret clearance, should a specific contract/project require it.
