Ophthalmic Tech is Hiring a Lead Ophthalmic Technician Near Orlando, FL

Job description

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, friendly, efficient ophthalmology technician lead for a two-physician multi-specialty ophthalmology practice. Our practice incorporates ophthalmology and plastic surgery, and the candidate will be expected to eventually become familiar with both sides. We will be adding an in-office surgical suite this year and the candidate can be cross-trained to assist with surgeries. (Don't worry, we'll train you!)

As a lead, you will be expected to not only manage a team of techs but teach them the various duties and hold them accountable when necessary. You will also assist in surgical procedures, oversee inventory, implement new protocols for clinic and equipment.

Applicant should be able to do a manifest refraction, applanation tonometry, and eventually become proficient at OCT, Pentacam, IOL Master, immersion A-scan, Optos, iTrace, and meibography.

Our practice is very patient-satisfaction centric, and we want our patients and staff to feel good at the end of the day!

Ophthalmic technician certification required. Sales and customer service experience, the ability to speak Spanish is a plus, and certification are looked upon favorably.

If you think you are qualified, we'd love to have you join our office family!
