Future Foundations Child Care Center is Hiring a Pre-K Teacher Near Torrington, CT
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing learning environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to stimulate the intellectual and social growth of children
- Create engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning through play
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and explore
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a structured daily routine
- Assist with toddler care including feeding, diapering, and napping routines
Skills:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff effectively
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors
- Ability to develop and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of individual students
- Understanding of early childhood development principles
- Certification in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred
