About this position
The position is responsible for day-to-day project site management, including planning, coordinating, integrating, monitoring, and driving all project activities and milestones per plan; ensuring the maintenance of technical communications and business files; monitoring and reporting schedule variances from plan; appraising impact of variances; recommending and implementing corrective actions; and maintaining client communications. This position reports to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Represent RORE in a positive and professional manner
· Direct all job site activities to maintain compliance with the contract, specifications, client requirements, and local, state, and federal building codes
· Develop, drive, and monitor the project execution approach and schedule
· Coordinate subcontractor work in accordance with project schedule and subcontractor agreements
· Manage and monitor the scope of the project, including deliverables, RFIs, change orders, etc.
· Supervise project field team and subcontractors to ensure quality and timeliness of construction
· Communicate frequently with the Project Manager regarding the status of the job
· Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders that lead to project success and repeat partnership opportunities
· Collaborate with field management to ensure compliant, safe, quality performance
· Review documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted per established procedures, and implement appropriate corrective action as required
· Obtain favorable performance evaluations from clients
Construction Site Superintendent Qualifications:
· Minimum of 10 years construction experience
· Minimum of 5 years of construction site superintendent experience on Federal projects
· Familiar with EM385-1-1
· Familiar with hazard identification and safety compliance
· Proficient in understanding construction drawings and critical path schedules
· Experience with managing NAVFAC projects preferred
· Excellent organizational, management, communication, and diplomacy skills
· Experience managing project teams
· Aptitude to lead, manage, and resolve issues as required to satisfy project requirements
