Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Coach to join our team. As a Life Skills Coach you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to develop essential life skills and achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Assist individuals in developing and enhancing their independent living skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and maintaining a clean living environment
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and address challenging behaviors effectively
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collect data on individual progress and document observations accurately
- Utilize effective communication skills to build rapport with individuals, their families, and other team members
- Support individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social activities
- Provide transportation as needed for appointments, outings, or community integration

Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions are also compensated.
