Overview:
Selkirk Sport is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Excel Support Specialist to join our team. This role is primarily focused on providing expert-level Excel support to our staff, as well as assisting our Digital Solutions team in the development of applications using low-code tools. The ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel skills and a keen interest in digital solutions and application development.

Key Responsibilities:

Excel Support:

  • Provide expert-level support and training to staff on advanced Excel functions, including formulas, pivot tables, macros, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain Excel templates, tools, and dashboards to support various business functions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Excel-related issues for users across the organization.

Application Development:

  • There will be some collaboration with the Digital Solutions team to support the development of applications using low-code tools used to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in the testing and debugging of applications to ensure functionality and performance.

Data Management:

  • Support data integration and management tasks, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across different systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Excel tools, applications, and processes.

User Training:

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance staff proficiency in Excel as needed.
  • Develop training materials and user guides to support ongoing learning and development.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with various departments to understand their data and application needs, providing tailored Excel and application solutions.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new digital tools and technologies to support business objectives.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, macros, and data visualization.
  • Some experience or knowledge of Google Sheets is helpful.
  • Experience with low-code development platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of data management and integration principles.

Experience: Previous experience in an Excel support role or application development role is preferred. Willing to consider strong results from school or coding camp.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in Excel or low-code development platforms are a plus but not required.
