Belltown Discovery Center is Hiring a Full Time Teacher Near East Hampton, CT
Summary
We are looking for a full-time teacher to join our team. This will be a full-time position working in one of our classrooms. We are open Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 6:00pm.
Duties
A teacher must be able to care for the children's daily needs such as diapering children,
providing meals and accommodating special needs. A teacher will implement a daily curriculum
that assists children in reaching their developmental goals. Teachers assist co-teachers with
various needs such as preparing artwork, lesson planning, and organizing classroom events.
Cleaning activities will be performed throughout the day such as vacuuming, mopping,
sweeping, and sanitizing the classroom.
Requirements
Must be able to pass fingerprints, background check and complete adult medical form which
includes a TB test. Must be able to lift children and sit down on the floor with them. Must be 18
years of age or older and have a high school diploma/ GED. An employee must be able to be on
their feet for an extended period. Employees may need to be able to work for periods of 8 to 11
hours a day.
Nice To Haves
Experience with children is recommended. Early childhood degree preferred but not required.
Benefits
Full time teachers earn vacation time, paid holidays as well as bonuses. 401 is also available for full time staff.
