Company Overview:
Sling Pilot Academy in Torrance, CA is looking for a diligent, technical and detail-oriented person to handle our flight training academy students flight schedules.

What we do:

We manage a flight school with an accelerated airline pilot training course. We operate a fleet of about 45 airplanes and have hundreds of pilots in training, and flight instructors and maintenance personnel.

The Job:

Use Flight Schedule Pro and other software tools to schedule flights for student instruction.

Work closely with scheduling team and dispatch team to create and maintain a highly safe and efficient weekly flight schedule.

Respond promptly to scheduling change requests due to weather, mechanical and other outside factors.

Interfacing with Maintenance team to balance aircraft load and scheduled maintenance.

Interface with Students and Instructors to ensure optimal pairings for student progress.

Generate and prepare reports out of Flight Schedule Pro and other software systems as needed.

Scheduling duties may include multiple academy locations in Southern California.

Answer phone calls and help with office admin tasks Maintaining a clean and workable space.

Applicant Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :

Good familiarity with Windows PC, Excel, Dropbox, and general office software and applications.

Primarily, be a diligent and conscientious worker.

Excellent attention to detail Excellent analytical and logic skills.

Good customer service skills.

Organized worker who can maintain priorities while switching between various tasks.

Willingness to learn and take instruction.

Ability to learn new software tools and programs quickly.

Excellent ability to trouble shooting and problem solve in a short amount of time to resolve issues quickly Positive attitude and be highly collaborative.

Ability to be flexible and grow with evolving business needs.

Education:

High School or Equivalent

Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Microsoft PC and MS office apps: 1 year (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
