Kensington Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician /RVT to join our team. Candidate should have an enjoyment as well as experience and competency in Dental prophys, radiographs and extractions . We are looking for a leader in character and skills. Responsibilities & Duties :

• Dental procedures including prophys, radiographs and extractions
• Training and mentoring of newer RVT's and TA's
• Assist with routine patient appointments, radiographic and surgical procedures. Give injections, place catheters, monitor fluid administration.
• Collect laboratory samples for in-house processing and to outside lab
• Collaborate with Veterinarians to develop training courses for staff members
• Perform medical treatments as directed, be able to do medical math, have familiarity with basic medications.
• Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored

Qualifications:

• Valid Veterinary Technician certification required (if RVT)
• 2 years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred
• Experience with Avimark a plus
• Strong communication and leadership skills required. Must be a great team player!
