- Demonstrates a proven ability to motivate staff and students to achieve equity and excellence
- Builds strong relationships with diverse students, staff, parents, and the community
- Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment using restorative and positive behavioral supports
- Supervises and evaluates all teaching and support staff within the school by creating a positive and creative culture
- Provides instructional leadership for the school by analyzing and interpreting student data to make sound instructional decisions
- Embraces and understands the range of needs of middle school students
- Supervises and evaluations staff and programs
- Engages staff on continuous learning through team development and leadership skills
- Works collaboratively with staff members and administrators of all backgrounds
- Fosters and maintains positive and respectful relationships between home, school, and the community that sustains continuous communication and collaboration
- Attends and maintains a visible presence at after-school evens such as athletics and musical productions
- Participates in district-wide activities, professional development, and committees
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or their designee
- NYS Certifications as a School Building Leader (SBL), School District Administrator (SDA) or Permanent School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative position
- $110,000 - $125,000 - 12 month position/Benefits as per the Batavia Administrators' Association contract
