Job Description

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student engagement
- Advises, tests, and teaches K-8th grade students audiences (child centric learning environment – blended classroom structure) in a variety of academic subjects.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and respect for one another and our ecosystem.

- Answers student inquiries and resolves problems related to curriculum and course prerequisites, referring to catalogues, written course descriptions, and other appropriate sources.
- Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students

- Prepares appropriate documentation and reports on programs and on student progress.

Qualifications

NC State Teaching License (Required)

- Orton Gillingham (Full Suite of Course Training Curriculum)

· Testing and Assessment Tools Example (NAEP, Mentimeter, Socrative ASSISTment, Moodle or similar)

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

· Ability to evaluate, design, and implement curriculum, testing, and/or teaching methodologies.

· Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
